The OptumHealth Psychotropic Pharmacy Solutions (PPS) program provides answers to difficult behavioral health pharmacy challenges, including medication non-adherence, contraindicated prescriptions, supra- and sub-therapeutic dosing, and other problem prescribing patterns.
By ensuring the right drug, at the right dose, for the right patient, at the right time, we can:

We analyze your behavioral pharmacy data against 400 evidence-driven quality metrics to evaluate and measure prescribing practice patterns through three different types of analysis: retrospective, concurrent and prospective reviews. This pinpoints opportunities for intervention directed at both the prescribing physician and the member to educate and influence behavior change.
PPS has been proven to demonstrate more appropriate and cost-efficient uses of psychotropic medications. A recent evaluation demonstrated an average 75 percent improvement in current prescribing practices. Equally impressive, after exposure to PPS, an average of 68 percent of prescribers no longer required an intervention. Our robust methodology generally yields a conservative 2:1 ROI1 for the average customer.
