Real Cost Savings and Improved Care
Prescribing the right drug, at the right dose, for the right member, at the right time. That’s the key to improving clinical outcomes and reducing costs, and it’s the guiding principle of our Psychopharmaceutical Management program.
We analyze your behavioral pharmacy data by comparing prescribing practices and utilization patterns against evidence-based best practices. Based on this analysis, we pinpoint opportunities for intervention in areas such as medication non-adherence, contraindicated prescriptions, supra- and sub-therapeutic dosing, and other problem prescribing patterns.
Interventions are directed at both the prescribing physician and the member, with the goal of providing the education needed to effect meaningful behavior change. Physicians receive alerts highlighting member profiles with specific areas of concern and providing clinical best-practice guidelines for each case. Physicians also have 24-hour access to peer consultations with our expert medical team. All member interventions are coordinated with these physician communications, and include outbound care support calls and educational tools to help members remain compliant with prescription usage while engaging in well-informed conversations about their treatment plan with their physicians.
