OptumHealth’s Healthy Pregnancy Program works closely with expectant mothers to identify potentially high-risk pregnancies and refer them to our Neonatal Resource Services for case management. Members are then guided to our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) Centers of Excellence Network in an effort to reduce spend.

Neonatal Resource Services
OptumHealth’s Neonatal Resource Services provides access to a network of credentialed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) providers and specialized nurse credentialing services to help identify and manage high-risk pregnancies and manage NICU admissions. Neonatal Resource Services produces a minimum of a 3-to-1 return on investment.
Neonatal Resource Services has proven results in reducing neonatal costs and is an innovative solution that:
- Facilitates early identification and capture of potential NICU patients through maternity management and integration with your benefit verification process
- Addresses the disparity of care between NICU providers with a Centers of Excellence network
