Healthy Pregnancy Program

OptumHealth’s Healthy Pregnancy Program is a perinatal wellness program designed to provide members with additional support and education during their pregnancy and is a powerful resource to combat increasing maternity and neonatal intensive care unit spending.

OptumHealth’s Healthy Pregnancy Program works closely with expectant mothers to identify potentially high-risk pregnancies and refer them to our Neonatal Resource Services for case management.  Members are then guided to our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) Centers of Excellence Network in an effort to reduce spend.

Healthy Pregnancy Program Provides:

  • Patient education
  • Screening of maternity cases
  • Management of high-risk cases to decrease medical costs
  • Key link to the maternal-neonatal continuum for reducing overall spend
