Dr. Gail Croall is the chief medical officer for OptumHealth Care Solutions. OptumHealth optimizes the health, well-being and financial security of individuals and organizations through personalized health management solutions and helps people stay healthy, get healthy or live with health conditions.
Dr. Croall leads health care quality initiatives, strategic development of new programs and clinical operational service delivery for OptumHealth Care Solutions, which assists members in achieving improved health outcomes with the right provider, the right care, the right medication and the right lifestyle. Croall joined OptumHealth in 2002 as a medical director and has served in many leadership positions, including her most recent role as senior national medical director for OptumHealth Care Solutions with Health Care Decision Support.
Under her leadership, Dr. Croall brings a customer- and consumer-centric focus to our programs with emphasis on a consumer-centric, consumer activation and behavior change model which achieves better health outcomes, informed consumer decision making, high quality and efficiency, and decreased health care costs.
Before joining OptumHealth Care Solutions six years ago, Dr. Croall was in private practice with a
multi-specialty group in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry
at the College of William & Mary, and her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. She is a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
